Seasonal part-time or volunteer lead instructors teach classic and/or skate skiing for beginners and intermediates. Topics include equipment setup, balance and weight transfer, forward motion, turning, stopping, snow plow turns, classic striding, V1 and V2 skate technique, and getting up confidently after a fall. Certified instructors earn $75 for a two-hour Saturday clinic or $150 for a full-day clinic; first-year instructors earn $60 or $120 respectively. A weekly commitment includes an annual PVST Trail Pass, a 50% Valley Pass discount, and access to coaches’ clinics and continuing education.

- Cross-Country Ski Instructor Waiver — Required waiver for PVST cross-country ski instructors and clinic leaders.
